Mission Statement
Desert Cities HOA Council is a group of volunteer HOA homeowner leaders who come together to network and learn by sharing ideas, best practices, and hear from industry experts in order to help us manage our HOAs more effectively.
Who We Are
Our members have been meeting for over ten years, originally in Cathedral City and recently we have added a second meeting for our Palm Springs’ homeowner leaders.
All homeowner leaders are invited and there are no costs for membership or to attend our meetings. Recently DCHC has affiliated itself with Community Associations Institute (CAI), which is the largest organization in the country devoted to educating people involved with the HOA industry.
Our Cathedral City meetings are on the third Thursday of each month and our Palm Springs meetings are the last Wednesday of the month. We are dark in July/August/December.
If in-person meetings cannot be held, we will have videoconferences for a combined Cathedral City and Palm Springs on the Cathedral City dates at the same time.
Recently the Homeowners Leaders Committee of CAI-CV and the Desert Cities HOA Council started an on-line digital idea exchange. It’s only for Board members of Home Owners Associations in the Coachella Valley. This is a valuable tool any time, but especially during these times when we can’t meet face to face.
Topics discussed so far are: repairs to mailbox cluster, elections, tree inoculations, exterior elevation inspections, tree pruning, Ring doorbells, rules of order, gate code policies, and Brown Act vs. Open Meeting Act.
